Abstract

Enterprises are motivated to join collaborative networks, looking forward to reducing time to market, innovating products and lowering prices. However, each enterprise has its own legacy on Enterprise Information Systems, a fact that has been creating a significant interoperability problem when intending to cooperate with others using dissimilar information systems. This paper proposes to reuse existing modelling and architecture technology in a framework to support the sustainability of interoperability among networked enterprises. It suggests the implementation of dynamic software adapters to assure the continuous transformation of heterogeneous information, achieving an adaptive mechanism for interoperation among the different enterprise applications, and guaranteeing a seamless communication among the networked enterprises.
