For the last two decades the International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovation Conference (ICE/ITMC), has brought together leading academics, researchers and practitioners, contributing to the global debate on research, science and innovation. The 23rd ICE/ITMC edition took place at Madeira Island, Portugal with the active involvement of C2NET partners, both in its preparation as well as using it as vehicle for C2NET results presentation. Several C2NET papers were presented at Special Session “Industrial Applications: Theory and Practice - Development, design and improvement of industrial processes and systems for the industry 4.0”. The session emphasized the Research/Industry cooperation on the industry 4.0 paradigm, focusing in the presentation and analysis of both theory and industrial applications applying internet of things technology and aiming at improving industrial systems and processes.
With a good level of attendance and very participated discussions, the session represented a great opportunity to show the results being achieved within C2NET to a mixed audience of academy and industry.
