This white paper presents the vision, main principles, approach, features, potentials and the impact of the platform that will be developed in the Cloud Collaborative Manufacturing Networks (C2NET) project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 636909.
The C2NET project aims to create a set of cloud-enabled tools for supporting the optimization of manufacturing and logistics assets of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and their supply networks, based on collaborative demand, production and delivery plans.
The C2NET consortium includes highly qualified academic and industrial research organisations, which fulfil the requirements for contributing in the design, development and implementation of C2NET platform. This is achieved by the cooperation of 7 research centres (ARMINES, IKERLAN, UNINOVA, ITI, VTT, I-VLAB and TECM), 2 universities (TUT and UPV), 4 software companies (ATOS IT, ATOS SPAIN, LINAGORA and CMS), 6 industry companies (FAURECIA, NOVATEC, PFDC, FH, FLEXF and AAMM) and a third-party organisation (MINES ALBI from ARMINES). The skills and capabilities of the consortium guarantees the possibility of achieving the C2NET goals, identifying valuable use cases and implementing the C2NET solution in real scenarios provided by industrial companies. Cited organisations are distributed across 6 countries: Slovakia, Finland, Spain, France, Portugal and Belgium.
The duration of C2NET project is from January 2015 to December 2017. Detailed information and updated news of C2NET project are available on its website: http://c2net-project.eu/.
